Your Local Roofing Contractor
Visitors know Lahaska for shopping and dining, but the people who own property here know it as a place full of older buildings that need looking after. A leak in a gallery above a display case or over a guest room at an inn is a different kind of emergency than one in a spare bedroom, and DaVinci Roofing & Gutters treats it that way. We inspect for free, explain what we find, and give you a written plan before any work starts.
Our team installs and repairs asphalt shingles, slate and synthetic slate, cedar shake, standing seam metal, copper, and flat roofing in EPDM, TPO, and modified bitumen. We also install vinyl, fiber cement, and cedar siding and hang seamless, half-round, and built-in gutters with guards. Read about our roofing, siding, and gutter services, and explore our financing options for bigger projects. We serve both the Buckingham and Solebury sides of the village, along with the countryside homes along Route 202 and Route 263.

What Our Customers Say
We’ve been in our home for over 20 years and working with David and his team from Davinci Roofing and gutters was the best experience we’ve had with any contractor. His pricing was fair, he was always on time and responded to texts and calls quickly answering our questions. The quality of the installation of our new roof was outstanding. On the day of our install I took off to be home. David was on site all day, and provided us with drone pictures of our home showing each step of the process. This gave us visibility to any issues found on the roof and we could see the progress of the job. David even replaced a small section of siding for us, at no charge, that was damaged. Our satisfaction was most important to him and we very much appreciated his desire to do the job right. At the end of the day his team cleaned up as if they had never been there. I would highly recommend Davinci Roofing.

Lahaska is an unincorporated village on U.S. Route 202 and Route 263, straddling the line between Buckingham and Solebury townships on the way from Buckingham to New Hope. Its oldest anchor is the Buckingham Friends Meetinghouse: the Quaker meeting was founded in 1720, and the current meetinghouse was built in 1769. The Golden Plough Tavern, a nineteenth-century inn, is another landmark, and many of the village’s Victorian houses now hold shops, galleries, and antique dealers.
Peddler’s Village, a 42-acre destination of shops, restaurants, and lodging, brings visitors to Lahaska all year. Around it, the village and its surrounding roads hold a real range of buildings: historic structures, Victorians converted to commercial use, farmhouses, and newer homes on country lots.
Converted buildings are where we find a lot of hidden roofing trouble. A Victorian that became a shop may have picked up a rear addition, a new entrance roof, or rooftop equipment over the years, and every place a newer low-slope section meets an old pitched roof is a spot where water likes to get in. Steep main roofs, dormers, and porch roofs add more flashing to maintain. On buildings where appearance matters, slate, synthetic slate, cedar, and half-round gutters keep the historic look, while newer homes nearby usually do best with architectural shingles and fiber cement siding. Near the meetinghouse and older village buildings, stone walls and chimneys also need flashing that can move a little as the masonry expands and contracts.
Then there’s the weather. Winter freeze-thaw cycles open small gaps and build ice dams at the eaves, spring and summer bring heavy downpours and wind, and the area’s mature trees shed leaves and limbs into valleys and gutters. On a commercial property, overflowing gutters can also mean slippery walkways for customers, one more reason drainage deserves regular attention.
Our Services
Whether it’s a converted Victorian, a country home, or a shop, we handle the whole exterior.
Leaks at dormers, porch roofs, chimneys, and old-to-new roof transitions found and repaired, along with damaged shingles, slate, and flashing.
New roofs in slate, synthetic slate, cedar, metal, or architectural shingles, chosen to suit each building’s age and use.
EPDM, TPO, and modified bitumen for rear additions, entry roofs, and the low-slope sections common on commercial buildings.
After a storm, we secure the roof quickly, record the damage in detail, and help you work through the insurance process.
Seamless, half-round, and built-in gutters, guards, and downspouts that keep water off foundations and customer walkways.
Vinyl, fiber cement, and cedar siding with trim and fascia repair that preserves Victorian and farmhouse character.
How We Replace a Roof
Each Lahaska replacement is planned around the building, its neighbors, and the people using it.
Step 1
Old roofing comes off to the deck while we keep entrances, plantings, and parking areas clear and safe.
Step 2
We replace soft decking and add ice and water barrier at eaves, valleys, and old-to-new transitions.
Step 3
A full layer of synthetic underlayment goes on before the finished roofing is installed.
Step 4
Roofing, flashing, and vents are installed to spec, then we walk the site with you before we leave.
Commercial Roofing
Lahaska’s shops, restaurants, inns, and galleries, including those in and around Peddler’s Village, need roofs that hold up through the busiest seasons of the year. Many of these buildings pair pitched roofs with flat or low-slope sections over additions, walkways, and back-of-house areas, and those sections tend to need the most care.
DaVinci Roofing & Gutters installs, repairs, and maintains EPDM, TPO, and modified bitumen roofing for commercial owners and managers. We locate leaks, rebuild failing seams and flashing, clear up drainage problems, and help you plan replacements before a roof starts affecting business. Work is scheduled around your hours and your guests, and you’ll hear from us at every stage of the job.
Warning Signs
On older and converted buildings, early warning signs are easy to miss. Have the roof checked if you see:
Prompt repairs protect original woodwork, plaster, and merchandise from water damage.
Preventative Maintenance
Most roof damage builds slowly. Flashing works loose, a seam opens on a low-slope addition, or a valley fills with leaves and holds water, and none of it is obvious from the parking lot. By the time a ceiling stain shows up, the decking or framing underneath has often been wet for a while.
Lahaska’s buildings make inspections especially worthwhile. Renovations and conversions over the decades have joined old and new roofing materials in ways that don’t always age well together. Historic buildings have original details worth protecting, and busy commercial properties can’t afford to find out about a leak during a holiday weekend.
Our inspection covers the roof surface, flashing, chimneys, vents, skylights, gutters, soffits, and fascia, with extra attention to transitions between roof sections. We photograph everything and walk you through the results in plain terms, including how much service life the roof likely has left.
If something needs fixing, we’ll lay out your options and recommend the one that makes the most sense for the building. If the roof is sound, you’ll hear that from us too, along with a suggestion for when to check it again.

FAQ
Pricing depends on the damage, the material, and access. Work on a steep Victorian roof or slate differs from a shingle repair on a newer house, and commercial low-slope repairs vary with size. We inspect for free and put every estimate in writing.
Joints between an old pitched roof and a newer low-slope addition rely on flashing that often wasn’t detailed well or has aged out. We rebuild those transitions so the two roofs shed water together.
