Edinburg sits in the southern part of West Windsor, where remaining farmland, older homes, and newer neighborhoods meet the open space of Mercer County Park. Homes here face plenty of weather from across those fields, and DaVinci Roofing & Gutters helps owners keep their roofs, gutters, and siding ready for it. Whether you own an older home near the crossroads or a newer house in one of the surrounding developments, we’ll look at your roof with fresh eyes and tell you what it really needs.

Our team repairs and replaces asphalt shingle, synthetic slate, cedar, and standing seam metal roofs, and installs EPDM, TPO, and modified bitumen on low-slope areas. We also handle gutters, downspouts, trim, and fascia. Learn more about our roofing services, and if a replacement is in your future, ask about our financing options. What Our Customers Say

★★★★★

We’ve been in our home for over 20 years and working with David and his team from Davinci Roofing and gutters was the best experience we’ve had with any contractor. His pricing was fair, he was always on time and responded to texts and calls quickly answering our questions. The quality of the installation of our new roof was outstanding. On the day of our install I took off to be home. David was on site all day, and provided us with drone pictures of our home showing each step of the process. This gave us visibility to any issues found on the roof and we could see the progress of the job. David even replaced a small section of siding for us, at no charge, that was damaged. Our satisfaction was most important to him and we very much appreciated his desire to do the job right. At the end of the day his team cleaned up as if they had never been there. I would highly recommend Davinci Roofing.

Old Crossroads, Open Fields, and Newer Neighborhoods

Edinburg is an unincorporated community in West Windsor Township, gathered around the junction of county roads including Old Trenton Road and Edinburg Road. It began in the mid-1700s as a stagecoach stop and was originally called Assanpink, after the nearby creek. The name Edinburg came into use around the mid-1800s, by which time the village had a schoolhouse, stores, a post office, and a range of small trades.

Much of the farmland that once surrounded Edinburg has since become Mercer County Park, Mercer County Community College, and suburban housing, but the community still holds some working farmland and homes more than a century old. That gives Edinburg an unusual mix of roofs: older farmhouses and outbuildings with steep pitches and long-serving framing, alongside newer homes with larger, more complex rooflines.

For older homes, we pay close attention to the deck, chimney flashing, and any past repairs layered over the original roof. For newer houses, valleys, skylights, and ventilation are usually the key concerns. Either way, the open landscape plays a role. With fields and parkland nearby, wind has room to build during storms, and loose shingles and exposed ridges take the brunt of it.

Summer thunderstorms can bring hail and heavy rain, and winter freeze-thaw cycles open small gaps in flashing and sealant. Good gutters and downspouts that carry water away from the house are essential on this relatively flat ground, where water that spills over clogged gutters tends to collect near the foundation instead of draining away. Siding and trim on the windward side of a house also take a beating over time, so we often check those surfaces while we’re on the roof.

Preventative Maintenance

Why Roof Inspections Matter in Edinburg

Regular inspections are one of the easiest ways to extend the life of a roof. Problems like lifted shingles, cracked sealant, and loose flashing are hard to see from the ground but can let water in for months.

In Edinburg, exposure to wind makes inspections after major storms especially worthwhile. A single lifted shingle along a ridge or rake edge can lead to more shingles loosening in the next storm.

We inspect shingles, flashing, chimneys, skylights, vents, gutters, soffits, and fascia, and we document everything with photos. On older homes, we also look for signs of sagging or deck damage, and on newer homes we check the attic for ventilation issues that can shorten shingle life.

Then we explain what we found and what we recommend, whether that’s a simple repair, maintenance, or planning for replacement. You won’t get high-pressure sales tactics from us, and if the roof is in good condition, we’ll say so.

We recommend an inspection every few years, after any severe storm, and before buying or selling a home. For older houses and outbuildings, periodic checks are the best way to protect framing and materials that would be costly to replace.
